Amazing Cakes, How Sweet! (ACHS) is a licensed and insured home based bakery specializing in creative custom desserts. It is a limited liability company established to provide Durham, NC and surrounding areas with confections for all occasions which are pleasing to the eye, stomach and wallet. ACHS values attention to detail, high quality and customer service before and after the sale. Owner, Loria Glenn, a baker for over 15 years, has developed her baking and cake decorating skills by attending well-known cake decorating courses, using on-line and printed publications, taking notes during local and televised cake competitions as well as just trying new ideas and trends. ACHS creates desserts with each client and event in mind providing a personal touch you don’t usually get from other bakeries. The goal is for each client to see and taste their dessert and find it to be simply AMAZING.
About the owner
There are lots of home based and store front bakeries that provide good desserts in the Durham area whose goals are similar to Amazing Cakes, How Sweet!. What sets ACHS apart is the owner and baker Loria Glenn. She is a triple threat … certified project manager with an engineering background that bakes. The project management skills allow her to plan and organize orders like no other. She taps into her engineering background to solve the cake challenges she’s often presented with and her baking speaks for itself. Loria is also a people person who aims to please her clientele. She has acquired quite a following through her family, friends, coworkers, professional affiliations and sorority. Loria has taken her passion for baking as a hobby and turned it into an opportunity to expand the art of baking and cake decorating creating amazing desserts.
